The owners of this Westport residence asked Kathleen Poirier Architects to transform their contemporary-styled house to the shingle style architecture typical of the Connecticut coastline. KPA added plenty of bright, open spaces for their growing family to enjoy. The house features a play/game room with a bar hidden behind a barn door, so that the space could be used for the kids or the adults. The house also contains a guest suite with its own entrance, and each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, convenient for each member of the family. The residence has a beautiful screened porch and pool, so that the outdoors can be utilized for three seasons.
